Windsong Dude Don't Call Me Dude

Windsong Dude Don't Call Me Dude (AKA Dude) was born of the 16th of September 2001. He is a well marked black buckskin tobiano by Windsong Marquis. Windsong Marquis is a black buckskin pure bred Australian pony Pinto. Dude is out of Windsong Ballerina (dec 2007) who was a well marked bay and white Pinto. Ballerina was my horse and friend through my teenage years and we competed successfully at many shows.

Dude is a very clever and people orientated horse, he enjoys as much affection as you are willing to give, and has many cheeky tricks he likes to play. He is a wonderful friend and has broken in to be a well mannered pony hack that has been competing successfully in the show ring. Dude is registered with Pinto Horse Assoc NSW Inc.

Wishaw Glen Jackpot

Wishaw Glen Jackpot (AKA Jackie) was rescued by us from the RSPCA shelter in February 2010 and was born in approximately 1995. We gave him the name Jackpot as we believe he hit the jackpot when he came to live with us! Here he will have a happy healthy home for the rest of his days.

Jackie was still a stallion when we rescued him and as we did not obtain him for breeding purposes but just to offer him a happy home, we consulted with our vet about having him gelded because of his age, and the vet assured us he would cope very well, and so we went ahead. Jackie recovered very well and is now happily enjoying sharing the paddock with all the other ponies.

Jackie is a silver taffy tobiano and is registered with the Pinto Horse Assoc NSW (Pending). He is broken in and after he recovers completely from being gelded we hope to do some showing with him.

He is a very sweet boy who loves having cuddles and waits so patiently each meal time for his feed. He has one of the funniest whinnies I have ever heard, for a small pony you would expect it to be a high pitched neigh but it is the deepest neigh and sounds more like a mooing cow than a horse!

Trooper Shannon

Trooper Shannon will be joining Wishaw Glen Stud in October 2010.

Trooper Shannon (AKA Troopie) didn't have the easiest start to life. His mother Ruby died shortly after he was born and poor little Troopie was on his own. His Owners Marie & Peter took care of him and found him a surrogate mother who raised him. Trooper grew into a beautiful gelding that was a great race horse; he won many races and was a fearsome competitor. After much racing success Trooper is now retiring at age 5 to Wishaw Glen Stud to live out his days healthy and happy roaming our grassy paddocks. Troopie is a lovable affection horse that will be retrained for riding which we think he will enjoy. We first became in involved with Trooper when we leased him in a syndicate with Shannon Springs Standardbreds. We followed his racing career closely and watched him race many times and Penrith, Bathurst, and Harold Park, with so much excitement. Trooper has been a fantastic friend and race horse who always put in his best effort despite his hard start to life. I admire him for his courage and strength that helped him to be the amazing horse he is today, and a horse that will forever be close to my heart. We Love you our Troopie! Happy retirement and happy eating!!
