Wishaw Glen Glitz N Glamour
And
Wishaw Glen Simply Irresistible
Glam: 02/10/09 - 05/02/2010
Pippy: 16/04/2009 - 05/02/2010

Wishaw Glen Glitz N Glamour (AKA Glam), a pretty palomino & white filly, was born on the 2nd of October 2009. She was a magnificent little filly by Bankstream Pintalong out of Roleena BZ Shonna.

Pippy (Wishaw Glen Simply Irresistible) an amazing little black buckskin and white filly was born on the 16th of April 2009 to her mother Wishaw Glen Silver Lining.

Tragically on the 5th of February 2010 they were brutally attacked and mauled by 2 savage dogs at Bargo whilst they were away from our home farm in the Southern Highlands. The surrounding neighbours helped to chase off the dogs and try and save my 3 ponies Pippy, Glam & Kally (Domino Downs Kahlua N Cream). When we got to Glam she was already gone, however Pippy was still alive but barely. We called the vets from Cobbitty Uni to try and save Pippy. They arrived quickly and did their best but sadly Pippy's injuries were far too extensive and we had to make the heartbreaking decision to put her to sleep.

Kally I think being a stallion must have been far more aggressive and managed to hold them off, as he only had a few minor cuts and scratchs. The neighbours told me how he bravley tried to deffend Pippy putting her in the corner and  himself infront of her between her and the dogs. He just couldn't protect her and him self, but he loyally did his best.

I just seems so unfair that our beautiful, happy, little girls died because of someone else’s negligents in not containing their savage dogs. As angry and as upset as we were, our anger was only heighted when the council ranger and police finally arrived and explained to us that even though there was no doubt the dogs had committed this crime and they were aware of where they lived and who owned them, that they did not have the legal power to seize the dogs and have them destroyed. The law protects the savage dogs and their owners, stating that the dogs need to reoffend a second time before they have the legal right to seize and destroy them.

The dog owners told us they didn't want to know about our problems or what their dogs had done. We were utterly devastated to say the least.

Our beautiful princesses know that we love you always; we will never forget you and we will fight to the end for your justice.

Your lives here with us were cut unfairly short, but my darlings enjoy your everlasting lives in the big paddock in the sky. I know the Lord will take care of you until the day we meet again.

Farewell my babies, rest in peace.

Wishaw Glen Little Man

Wishaw Glen Little Man was born on the 30th of January 2010 to his mother Wishaw Glen Red Hot (Hottie). Hottie was not supposed to be in foal, but on Australia Day 2010 we discovered she had a very large udder and waxed up teats. So we put her in the foaling paddock to have her foal. We watched her closely over the next few days knowing that it couldn't be far away. After coming home from an appointment on Saturday morning we discovered that she had given birth to a beautiful little liver chestnut colt who sadly didn't survive as his birth sack didn't break. We were devastated as until now we had never lost a single foal. We have named him Little Man as although we didn't get to know him, he was living, breathing little man for 11 months before that day, and when Geoff (my husband) first saw him after we tore open his sack he looked at him and said "Our poor little man".

You didn't have any time to enjoy life in our paddock with us so darling boy enjoy the big paddock in the sky and know you are

Windsong Ballerina

ballyandqs.jpg

Ballerina passed away on the 29th of September 2007. Bally was bred by Windsong stud and was born in the early 80’s. I’m now 25 and I remember as a 3 year old she provided a wonderful attraction at my Birthday party by giving pony rides to all my cousins and friends. Later in life Bally was owned by Carol & Claire Ryland who competed successfully with her for many years before she provided them with many outstanding foals. Windsong stud eventually purchased Bally back from the Rylands, and she became my horse. Bally and I competed in many jumping competitions in which she always had no fear of the height or bright colours. I remember one year at Moss Vale show, against the bottom of a jump there was a large brightly coloured aboriginal painting to which every horse in the competition bourked at at least once. But not Bally she just pricked up her ears and had a breif glance as she flew right over the top with no hesitation. Recently Bally gave to me her son Dude who I tresure so greatly and who has also become my best mate. As many people know Bally had her tempremetal flaws, but her hardworking, give anything a go attitude made her my best friend who I’ll always love dearly. I will greatly miss you my friend and team mate.
